The Forgotten People
A small community in Honduras known as “The Forgotten People” recently received physical and spiritual help! In April 2026, five churches in Honduras joined forces to reach the Tolupan people. With food baskets and fuel funded by your coffee purchases, eight volunteers embarked on a grueling 12-hour journey into the mountains, crossing four rivers without bridges to reach 3 remote villages that are rarely visited.
The first evening, the volunteers gathered with dozens of villagers in San Juan to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The next day, the team met practical needs across the communities. They delivered mattresses to elderly residents and people with disabilities, sometimes carrying them more than six miles on foot through rugged terrain. They also distributed food baskets to hungry families, offering not only supplies but also the hope of Jesus to people who feel forgotten by the outside world.
What began as a service project became a powerful testimony of God’s love. In one of the villages, more than 50 people gathered in a small structure to hear the gospel presentation. Six people made the decision to place their faith in Jesus Christ! Praise God!
Through the partnership of local churches, sacrificial volunteers, and your support of HOPE Coffee, lives were forever changed. What an amazing reminder to the Tolupan people that God sees them and loves them!
