Meet the U.S. HOPE Coffee Team
There is a reason why we call ourselves “The HOPE Coffee Team.” The work of “serving better” that God has called us to do is best accomplished as a team. Below are some of the faces and names that you might be familiar with when you call or email our main office. However, you should also meet the Direct Trade Farmers who grow your coffee, as well as our National Ministry Leaders who carry out the ministry of HOPE Coffee in Central America. Together we are able to serve you better as we carry out the vision of acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with our God.

Ben Penfold
Financial Advisor
Ben has been with HOPE Coffee from the very start. As the Financial Advisor, Ben is passionate about how the company combines the broader impact of the kingdom of God with the impact of the everyday ‘grind’ of a successful Coffee company. When asked about his favorite product, Ben keeps it simple—caffeine. However, if he has to narrow it down to one favorite, it would have to be Guatemalan Medium.
Brian Masters
President
Brian has been with HOPE Coffee since the very beginning in 2010, starting with a business plan scribbled on a whiteboard in Honduras. As President, Brian wears many hats, from collaborating with the leadership team to encouraging coffee farmers and seeking out future opportunities. While he didn’t drink coffee when the company first launched, he’s since developed a taste for it and now drinks it daily—his favorite is the Shiloh Roast, a blend from all three countries where HOPE Coffee is grown and the gospel is shared.
Eric Weaver
Executive Vice President and CAO
Eric joined HOPE Coffee in 2011, bringing his expertise in hospitality and retail management to what was then a small ministry project. As Executive VP, he handles accounting, HR, and daily operations, ensuring the coffee keeps flowing smoothly. Over the years, his role has evolved, but Eric remains a vital part of the company. His favorite thing about HOPE Coffee? The chance to combine his skills while still being connected to the ministry. Eric’s favorite product is Moroccan Mint Compassion Tea.
Billy Todd
Vice President and COO
Billy has been part of the HOPE Coffee team since July of 2021, stepping into the role of Vice President and COO. Having followed the company for years, Billy was drawn in by the ministry’s impact and the delicious coffee as well as working alongside longtime friends also committed to the mission and ministry. Billy’s go-to? A shot of espresso made with Honduran Bold.
Kaysi Stanley
Director of Marketing
Kaysi has been with HOPE Coffee since January of 2015 as the Director of Marketing. She was originally drawn to how HOPE Coffee can impact lives around the world through an incredibly unique business model. Long before she was directly involved with HOPE Coffee, she helped spread the word to numerous churches and friends. Her favorite HOPE Coffee product is Honduran Bold, which she and her husband drink multiple pounds of a month!
Yalonda Pinnell
Director of Sales
Yalonda has been with HOPE Coffee since 2017, serving as the Director of Sales. She’s passionate about the company’s mission and the lives it touches, both through ministry and its top-quality products. Yalonda’s favorite HOPE Coffee product is a tie between the Mexican Light and Honduran Bold coffee, but on the tea side, she’s all about the Raspberry tea—hot or iced!
Alyssa Schmidt
Administrative Assistant
Social Media Coordinator
Alyssa has been part of the HOPE Coffee family since 2016 and currently serves as the Administrative Assistant and Social Media Coordinator. As Brian’s daughter, she’s been along for the ride since the early days when it was all hands on deck packing orders! Alyssa loves seeing how the company has grown and is proud to help spread the gospel through her work. While she’s a decaf drinker, she’s also a big fan of the Bourbon Street Vanilla Tea from Compassion Tea.
Caleb Todd
Customer Service Manager
Caleb joined HOPE Coffee in October 2022 and began his full-time roll in Customer Service in January 2023. He assists HOPE Partners and customers with all their needs, while also packing orders and managing the warehouse. Caleb loves the supportive work environment and the company’s mission. Caleb loves HOPE Coffee’s Honduran Bold, which he uses to make cold brew.
